Our new range of trainer socks are made from our standard 90% Wool & 10% Nylon yarn, knitted with branded LYCRA. Most trainer socks are made from cotton which when wet, or full of moisture, makes your feet cold. The American's like to use the phrase 'Cold Cotton Kills' - so to help with the wicking process of the moisture from your feet we use our tried and tested wool yarn. Wool products help regulate the temperature of your body, keeping you cool when it is warm, or warm when it's cold.
At the same time that the wool yarn is fed into the machine we run an end of LYCRA, this ensures that the sock molds itself to your foot.
We also knit these socks with what is called a 'Y' heel - The 'Y' heel creates a slight angle from the heel coming back into your foot, this helps socks with a short leg to stay on your foot without slipping off.
